Adults' Camp 2008 - Shah Alam!

Well, a very Happy New Year to all of you and we hope you enjoyed yourself tremendously with the New Year celebrations. The New Year always bring much cheer, joy and enthusiasm for most people and likewise, the Adults' Camp Committee of 2008 are enthusiastic about the upcoming camp starting from 5th to 8th June 2008 as well!

While most people were relishing the post Christmas celebrations and preparing to usher in the New Year, our camp committee started our recce trip to locate a suitable camp site for our 2008 camp!

After much research on a suitable site, the location has been decided! It's going to be at .....*drumrolls* SHAH ALAM, Malaysia at Concorde Hotel. =) Concorde hotel was selected because it was able to meet a number of our requirements such as the number of breakout rooms we require for workshops, the cost, etc. As much as we wanted Hotel Equatorial at Malacca due to the strong feedback that our campers love the food there. Hehe. However, Hotel Equatorial is fully booked. BUT, fret not campers, a New Year sometimes mean it's good to have a change! =) So we searched hard and finally, praise God! A hotel that meets majority of our needs was found!

So here's some pictures of The Concorde Hotel at Shah Alam for your viewing pleasure. This is the lobby of Concorde Hotel. Pretty spacious which will be good to accommodate our campers when they arrive at camp in June this year. =)

Next, our committee members checked out the bedrooms at the hotel and they look nice and comfy. Sweet.

Since we understand that some of our campers sometimes go for a dip prior to having their breakfast in the morning, we took a look at the swimming pool as well. Here's a picture of the pool, mmm.... tempted to go for a swim? Hehe..

Not a swimmer but still want your morning exercise? Fret not, here's a picture of the gym at the Concorde hotel. As you can see from the picture below, our committee are enjoying themselves in the gym already while having our recce of the hotel.

There's even a spa here if any of you are interested. And of cos, spa fees would be at camper's own cost. Hehe...

On to more important things of our recce trip, we checked out the breakout rooms and we were glad that the Concorde Hotel has a good number of breakout rooms to cater for our workshops. Also, most of the breakout rooms are pretty spacious, just check out one of the many breakout rooms in the picture below. Disclaimer: Not all the breakout rooms would look exactly like the room in the picture below and some may be a tad smaller and others a tad bigger. =)

After checking out the breakout rooms, we make our way to the grand hall to have a look at it. Pretty spacious too and can accommodate all our campers nicely.

Here in this picture below is one of the restaurants in the hotel that would be allocated to our campers as our dining place. Nice! Don't you just love the red clothe from the ceiling? =)

Also, in the hotel we were brought to this arty cafe. I really mean it's arty as there are art pieces being displayed in the cafe to act as a deco as well as for viewing purposes. Really adds to the mood if you are having a cuppa there. =) This would be a good place to catch up with your caregroup mates during camp free time, over a cuppa coffee or tea, some slice of cake and with art pieces there to add to the ambience. Lovely.

So, here's Concorde Hotel at Shah Alam for you. The Adults' Camp Committee 2008 are bubbling with excitement and frothing with ideas already for our camp this year. They are raring to go.. and we hope that you too would join us and share in our excitement to be refreshed and rejuvenated in God's presence. Book your leave now!
